The Ritz Hotel
on London's Piccadilly |
Extending a short distance along Piccadilly, the arcaded facade of the Ritz Hotel brings a touch of Rue de Rivoli to London. From its opening over 100 years ago, the Ritz name has been synonymous with the ultimate in luxury. The best-known facility is probably the Palm Court, where a traditional afternoon tea can be enjoyed with cucumber and smoked salmon sandwiches, fresh cream scones, and a selection of pastries from silver cake stands. Weekend bookings need to be made many months in advance. |
