13: Piccadilly Circus statue of Eros

Piccadilly CircusThe winged statue of love and the huge illuminated advertising signs make Piccadilly Circus one of the of the world's most recognised locations. To the left of the signs is Regent Street, heading up towards Oxford Circus, and to the right is Shaftesbury Avenue, the route to Theatreland and Chinatown. The power to the signs has rarely been turned off. There was one hour of darkness in 2007 as part of a campaign "to show how much London cares about climate change"
