Peter Jones
at Sloane Square in
Chelsea |
The department store is part of the John Lewis group, a workers' co-operative. The sweeping 'curtain-wall' facade that overlooks King's Road, was designed to give the building an unfussy, graceful appearance in a confined space and was the first of its kind in Britain. On the 6th floor of Peter Jones there is a 270 seat self-service cafe with spectacular views as far as Hampstead over the rooftops of North London. |
