King's Road
in Chelsea |
The bus continues along King's Road. All the usual high street names are found closest to the undergound station at Sloane Square but further down the road there is a good mix of retailers especially interior design shops selling furniture, fabrics and lighting. In the past, King' Road was seen as the place for a thriving alternative culture - hippies in the 60s and punks in the 70s. A branch of McDonalds is now where the famous Chelsea Drug Store once stood. |
