British Museum
from Bloomsbury Way |
It seems that one of the world's great museums is tucked away down a narrow sidestreet. You can see the railings of the museum grounds at the end of Coptic Street. This is the best approach for the main entrance to the museum and which leads visitors directly into the spectacular glass-roofed Great Court. The help desk is located here, with maps and guides on offer. Despite the size of the museum, the galleries are relatively easy to navigate, although to visit each room just once you would need to walk a distance of over two miles. |
