Difficult to spot (the white-topped
posts on the pavement might help) this pub has no windows and is wonderfully
gloomy inside. The entrance is down the alley on the right hand side with a list
of all the monarchs who have reigned in the time that it has been here. The
interior is surprisingly large, divided up into various nooks and crannies, and
the names of some famous regulars can be seen on wall plaques.
