38: Texas Embassy (Now closed)

The name of the Texas Embassy restaurant com-memorates the 10 year period after Texas broke away from Mexican rule in 1830 to become an independent republic. The flag with the lone star emblem can be seen hanging over the door. The actual embassy was never in fact in this building but in St James's where it's location opposite the gates of St James's palace has been marked with a large plaque.
