Look to the left by the trees and down
a pedestrian-only side street is the way to the Millennium footbridge crossing
the river to Tate Modern the art gallery in a former power station. The
bridge is better known as the wobbly bridge after the swaying motion that was
evident after the initial opening. Engineers were eventually able to fix the
problem by attaching dampers to the structure. From here to the art gallery is
about 10 minutes walk. |
